Maintenance & Support

Website Maintenance & Support That Prevents Problems

Updates, backups, monitoring and small fixes handled on a schedule — so your site stays fast, secure and current instead of degrading quietly until something breaks.

Maintenance & Support

Why Maintenance Is Not Optional

A website is not a finished object. Software dependencies release security patches, browsers change, content goes stale, and performance drifts as pages accumulate. A site left alone for a year is measurably slower, less secure and less accurate than it was at launch.

The cost asymmetry is what matters. Routine maintenance is predictable and modest. Emergency recovery from a compromised site or a failed update is neither, and it usually happens at the least convenient moment.

At a glance

Why It Matters

What Neglect Actually Costs

The failure modes are predictable and mostly preventable.

Security Exposure

Most compromises exploit known vulnerabilities in outdated software that had a patch available.

Performance Drift

Added plugins, unoptimised images and growing databases slow sites down gradually until it is noticeable.

Update Conflicts

Updates deferred for months are far more likely to break something than updates applied regularly.

Outcomes

What the Service Covers

Backup and recovery

Regular off-site backups with a tested restore process, not just a backup that exists.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about website maintenance & support.

Response times are set in the agreement and vary by plan and severity. Critical issues such as a site being down are always prioritised over routine requests.

Yes, after an onboarding audit. We need to understand the environment and resolve anything urgent before taking on ongoing responsibility.

Host backups are a useful layer but they are not sufficient on their own. Independent off-site backups protect you if the hosting account itself is the problem, and a backup that has never been restored is untested.

New features, redesigns and larger development projects sit outside routine maintenance. Those are scoped separately so you always know what you are approving.
